It sounded like a good idea....

I don't know why but I always get these ideas in my head and I'll just keeping on thinking about it until I do it (whatever IT is). But more often than not, I then regret even having the idea in the first place!! Like cloth diapers. I've started cloth diapering Payton just recently. I thought it will save money, it's better for the environment, and it'll make me feel like a good mom. But it's a hassle! Cleaning dirty cloth diapers ain't all it's cracked up to be people. But I will say my daughter looks adorable in cloth diapers. It makes her little baby bottom so cute!! I'm also thinking that one day when she's much older and brings home her first boyfriend, I'll make sure and tell him about her cute little cloth diapered self. Or when I'm much older and I need her to pick out my nursing home, I'm gonna remind her that she was cloth diapered and she owes me now.  It's like an investment.
Another idea I had was that I was going to make my own cleaning supplies. Again, it would save money and be better for the environment. But that was dumb because Method sells environmentally friendly products and I don't have to stand there mixing vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice together.
I've also tried the homemade gifts things. I made Clay a Valentine's card with Payton's footprints forming a heart. Oh, it finally turned out cute and sets on his nightstand. But it took 100 tries and red paint was everywhere. Turns out getting your 2 month old child's footprint isn't so easy as Pinterest makes it look.
I have a ton of these ideas that turn out to be more of a pain. Doesn't matter though. Once an idea pops into my head, I gotta try it!

It's fall ya'll!

I absolutely love fall. I love everything about it. I love the cooler weather. I love fall foliage. I love football (Go OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys). I love anything pumpkin: pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks, pumpkin bread, that cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory that is half pumpkin cheesecake and half pecan pie (yummy!!). I just love fall! It always makes me happy.  I think my favorite thing about fall is that it's like a stepping block to Christmas and I love Christmas more than fall.
Last Friday, I went to Hobby Lobby and well, I hit the jackpot. All of their fall décor was 40 percent off. That was the great part. The not so great part was that it was raining and I had three kids with me. But guys it was 40 percent off!! So I get the kids out into the rain.  Payton, I left in her infant carrier. Which has anyone noticed how small the buggies are at Hobby Lobby? I don't think they had infant carriers in mind when they designed those. I mean she basically took up the cart. So my poor kids had the carry my 40 percent off fall décor!! But my fireplace/mantle makes me happy now.

I do have a confession ya'll. I love chrysanthemums too. I also have three kids and a dog and I don't water plants as often as I should. Basically they die, okay? So I *gasp* bought fake mums at Hobby Lobby to put in my flower pots at my front door. But hey, they were 40 percent.

I'm thinking about adding this to my mantle as well. Found it at tipjunkie.com

Happy fall ya'll!!!

Waiting on Thursday...and also my first blog post (ever!)

I'm completely new to blogging! It has taken forever to fix the layout and the text because I have to hold my 9 month in my lap while doing it! She's spoiled!
Anyhoo! So, I'll start by saying I can not wait for Thursday to get here! My husband, Clay,  is a company man and works offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. He works two weeks on, two weeks off. The two weeks on go by A LOT slower than the two weeks home. Anyway, he comes home Thursday, oh yeah!  We've been married a little over a year now and his work schedule has definitely been an adjustment. It's hard juggling three kids and life by yourself! Just having him here makes it all better. Thursday will also be his birthday. I'll take this opportunity to say he will be 33 years old (and five years older than me). :) The kids and I got him an Ipad. Yeah, he already knows because I couldn't keep the surprise any longer. This is a big step for him people; when I met the man in 2011, he had a cell phone with no internet (would this be a non-smart phone?).
While I'm waiting on Thursday to get here, I also need to clean the house, do laundry, shave my legs, etc. I'll be honest: none of that really gets done when Clay is not home. Hey, I do enough to get by! Housework gets pushed aside for homework, dance class, church, cooking, etc. Did I mention my youngest is a stage five clinger?  I bribe her with graham crackers just so I can do the dishwasher! As crazy as my life is, I wouldn't change it though. I'm slowly adjusting to living my life in hitches and waiting on Thursday.
